Most of the poor people that we see in the very remote and rural pueblos may only have access to medical care one or two times a year.  We are their lifeline, by not only bringing medical knowledge and supplies, by outstretching our hands to give of ourselves each day.  Our medical presence is so very much appreciated and we are humbled by the deep emotional expression of thanks by the Nicaraguan people.  Hundreds of patients hugging and squeezing their medical providers, saying gracias over and over again with a look of sincere gratitude will keep us coming back year after year. The overwhelming large population of poor and underserved is at times daunting, but our mission stands strong. We will continue to make a difference in the lives of those we touch and we hope that you will join us and be part of the solution too.
